Cincinnati.com just announced its list of the 100 greatest Reds of all time. Just click on the picture below to see the list. This was good timing because of the list Stuart Watton and I composed.
Ladies and gentleman as promised, Stuart Watton and I have composed the 50 coolest Reds of all time. Talent has nothing to do with this list, just pure coolness. We composed a starting lineup, a 25-man roster, a 40-man roster, and honorable mentions which are 40-50 on the coolest Reds list.
Here is a photo of the starting lineup.
Starting Outfield:
LF Kevin Mitchell (Famous for his gold tooth, charging after an umpire in the minors, and being a jolly fat athlete)
CF Eric Davis (World Series Hero, hates Mark Mallory for not getting his pitch anywhere near him, and confident about himself)
RF D'Mitri Young (Dyed his hair/facial hair blonde, hilarious player, funny fat guy)
Starting Infield:
1B Sean Casey (Funny Commentator, loves Skyline, friendly, known as "The Mayor")
2B Bip Roberts (For the nickname, speed, and awesomeness)
SS Gookie Dawkins (For the name and mustache)
3B Willie Greene (Used to call him Willie Greene Bean as a child, played for some bad Reds teams, power hitting scrawny guy with cockyness and flair)
Catcher Javier Valentin (younger switch hitting brother of former Major Leaguer Jose, cheered on team as a backup, always came through with pinch hits, and always had a smile)
